1. Camera Shots Over the shoulder picture from the computers perspective, focusing in on the woman's face. this is used for effect and to show the expressions of the character in focus. Close up shot of the character showing her facial features and expressions, also blurs background for effect. over shoulder image showing the character focused on the computers, showing scenery. This also creates a nice view for the viewer to look at. 2. Camera angles In this image, The camera is positioned behind the monitor with the webcam ontop, to give the effect that we are seeing them from an unseen aspect. The two women in frame can also be seen visually displeased with what they are hearing. 3. Mise en scene This image shows a woman who is shocked infront of a computer screen. This suggests to people who havent seen this clip that she may be on a call. This links to mise en scene because she is in the shot, and her emotions give off body language that suggest towards future events.
Task 1: 1) What is the preferred reading of a media text? The meaning the producers intend to communicate. 2) What is the oppositional reading of a media text? The oppositional reading goes against the meaning the producers are trying to create.
