Media Assessment 1: Learner Response

 1) Type up your Next Steps in full (you don't need to write the mark and grade if you want to keep this confidential).

Revise all current and future topics.

2) Read the mark scheme for this assessment carefully. Write down the mark you achieved for each question:

Q1: 1/1 Q2: 1/1 Q3: 6/12 Q4: 2/2 Q5: 2/6 Q6: 4/8

3) Identify one of your stronger questions. Why did you do better on this question? Use the mark scheme to help you with this.

Question 4, as I identified key features best to get full marks on this question.

4) Identify one of your weaker questions. Why did you score lower on this particular question? Use the mark scheme to help you with this.

Question 5, as I explained myself well, but not in depth enough with media terms and language devices.

5) Finally, write a new, detailed paragraph for Question 3 - the unseen text 12 mark question. Use the mark scheme to identify anticipated content you can add to your response and make sure you refer to the text and write in detail.

The video mainly uses simple camera angles like close-ups and mid shots. The close-ups show the singer’s face, which looks confident and quite intense, matching the fast pace of the song. The mid shots show the band playing together, which makes it feel like a live performance rather than something overproduced.

The body language also shows attitude and energy. The singer moves around a lot and leans into the camera, which makes him seem confident and a bit bold. The rest of the band stay focused on their instruments but still look relaxed. Overall, the camera work and body language make the band look energetic, confident and like they are just performing naturally.
